13 people died in 10 days in Rangpur leaving the fire
In the last ten days, 13 women died while undergoing treatment at the Rangpur Medical College Hospital. In this incident, 40 people, including children and women, are undergoing treatment in the fire. Some of them are in critical condition.

According to the Rangpur Burning Unit, 50 people and children from different areas of Rangpur area were admitted to the Rangpur Medical College Hospital from Jan 6 following the ongoing cold wave and cold fire. Of these, 10 were in critical condition. 30 to 40 percent of the injured body has been burnt.
Sammy Akhtar (27) of Sadar Police Station of Lalmonirhat district, Fatema Begum (32) and Lod Begum (22) of Patgram, Gulabi Begum (30) of Kouunar of Rangpur, Rehena Begum, 25 of Nilphamari, Najib Haat of Rangpur city, died in the last ten days. Belal Hossain's wife Afroza Khatun (40), Thakurgaon City's Thanpara's Akhi Akhter (45), Rumah Khatun (65), head of Jummappara Pakar of Rangpur, Moni Beg, wife of Chan Mia of Rangpur Mahiganj Marufa Khatun, 30, wife of Amzad Hossain of Sonaram village of Nilphamari Sadar, Shukoni (70) of Rajpur village of Lalmonirhat district, Jamrun Bawa (80) of Taraganj upazila of Rangpur and Hathu Begum, 65, of Pirganj upazila of Rangpur;

On Monday, Assistant Director of Rangpur Burning Unit Nure Alam said at least 55 people were burned at different times during the blaze of burning torches to save them from extreme cold. They were admitted to different wards including the burn unit of the Ramek Hospital. Three people died in hospital on Sunday night and one died on Monday morning. Earlier, 9 people were burnt to death.

Meanwhile, the speed of the wind decreased slightly in the Rangpur region compared to the last few days, but the intensity of winter did not subside. Sun has not yet been found in the region since Monday morning. The sky is covered with fog. Rangpur Meteorological office recorded the temperature at 9.2 degrees Celsius on Monday morning.
