Medical team on way to Nepal for DNA collections

An eight-member medical team of Bangladesh has left for Kathmandu to collect a sample of DNA samples of the victims of the crash of the US-Bangla Airlines in Nepal.

Today, at 11am on Thursday, Bangladesh Airlines flew Dhaka Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at BG-71 flight.

Coordinator of Burn and Plastic Surgery Unit of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) Samantalal Sen said, a doctor from Bangladesh was going to Nepal on the orders of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

The team is going to see the patients, who are injured in the crash, and decide on their treatment.

Medical Officer of the hospital's forensic medicine department Sohel Mahamud, Associate Professor of Burn and Plastic Surgery Unit Lutfar Quader Lenin, Dr. Hossain Imam, Dr. Mansur Rahman, National Orthopedic Hospital (Pangu Hospital) said. Mushfiqur Rahman Liton, Dr. Riyadh Mazid, Ferdous Rahman and Dr. of the hospital. Abdullah Al Mamun Besides the doctors, there will also be two CID members. They are Additional Superintendent of Police (Crime Scene, CID) Abdus Salam and Assistant DNA Specialist (CID) Ashraful Alam.

Principal of the Department of Forensic Medicine Sohel Mahamud said that the decision will be taken from where the DNA sample will be collected from the dead bodies of the dead bodies in Nepal plane accident. For this, the equipment is being procured from Bangladesh. If everything is okay, the bodies of the dead bodies and DNA samples will be completed in one day.
