Former President of India Pranab Mukherjee reached Dhaka on a five-day tour

Former President of India Pranab Mukherjee reached Dhaka on a five-day tour Jet Airways carrying Pranab Mukherjee landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 4pm on Sunday. Foreign Minister AH Mahmood Ali welcomed him at the airport. On a visit to Bangladesh, Pranab Mukherjee will attend a literary conference and will meet with President Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. The former Indian President will attend the special convocation of Chittagong University on Tuesday, where he will be awarded honorary D.Litt Degree. He will visit the Bangabandhu Memorial Museum at Dhanmondi-32, in the city to honor the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. While in Dhaka, he will attend a dinner at the invitation of Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith. He will leave Dhaka on January 18 after a four-day personal visit. Note that the 13th President of India, Pranab Mukherjee, retired in July.
