Awami League will win the next election: Obaidul Quader

Awami League general secretary and road transport and labor minister Obaidul Quader said that the Awami League will also win in the next national election for the honesty and firm leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

He said this while addressing a memorial meeting of City Awami League President and former mayor late AM Mohiuddin Chowdhury organized by Chittagong Metropolitan Awami League at Laldighi Maidan of Bandar city this afternoon.

The minister said that Sheikh Hasina is the fifth honest statesman among the heads of government of 173 countries. His honesty is the biggest tool in the next election of Awami League.

Kader said the conspiracy continues against the development and progress of the present government led by the daughter of Bangabandhu Sheikh Hasina. By winning the Awami League in the next election, it will have to answer this conspiracy.

Presided over by the acting Awami League acting president Mahtab Uddin Chowdhury, the meeting was presided over by Awami League presidium member and housing and public works minister Engineer Mosharraf Hossain, AL joint general secretary Mahbub-ul-Alam Hanif MP, organizing secretary AKM Enamul Haque Shamim, Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury Naofel, Publicity Secretary Dr. Hasan Mahmud, City Mayor AHM Nasir Uddin, Deputy Advisory Secretary Aminul Islam, Deputy Office Secretary Biplob Barua, Chittagong North District Awami League President Nurul Alam Chowdhury and South District Awami League President Muslem Uddin Chowdhury.

Paying tributes to the memories of the three elected Mayor of Chittagong City Corporation and the Chairman of the City Awami League late ABM Mohiuddin Chowdhury, Obaidul Quader said that the people of the city will remember him with respect to the great contribution made by Mohiuddin Chowdhury in the development of Chittagong City Corporation.

He said that successful city politicians have to learn a lot from the political life of the father. He left a lot of learning for Awami League leaders.

He also said that Mohiuddin Chowdhury has made outstanding contributions in the social, cultural, political and education fields of Chittagong in his long political career. The townspeople will never forget that.

Engineer Mosharraf Hossain said that the mayor ABM Mohiuddin Chowdhury started the politics from the grassroots level. He has worked for humanity through his organizational strength and courage.

He said that Mohiuddin Chowdhury first protested against the killing of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on August 15, 1975 after killing his family.
